It's Tearin Up My Heart ((Grayson))

Memories were flooding back through Kory's mind as she was in hot pursuit of a criminal who had just knocked off a bank and stolen a car. Since joining the Justice League, she always felt a certain nostalgia when she was in Jump City. As she soared above the streets in the clouded night sky, the tamaranian princess' mind started to flood with memories of when she first came to earth and met up with the Teen Titans. How they accepted her with open arms and helped her transition into life on planet earth. The fun, the drama, the love...at that moment, she saw Dick Grayson's face enter her mind, though she shook it off. Her mind had to stay clear, she had a task at hand to complete.

She was done trailing him and so Kory blazed down, her hair leaving it's ever popular and trademark fiery contrail behind her wake. Her left hand was raised glowing a bright pink hue and discharged a small orb of starbolt energy blowing out one of the automobile's back tires. Fired by another starbolt and two more to effectively take out the other tires. Starfire stopped in her tracks watching the car screech and eventually coming to a halt as it struck a phone post. One of the more peaceful ways to stop a crook. It may have been sloppy as she could have just flown down and picked the car up from the street and dropped it at the police station. But then again, she wasn't in the greatest of moods now that she was being plagued by visions of her failed relationship. It seemed that the weather would take a turn to reflect her gloomy disposition as droplets of rain had begun to fall from the night sky. She could hear the sirens of the police coming from a few streets over, they would apprehend the crook. From there, Starfire fluently, she floated downward to a near by rooftop, perching herself on it's edge as she glanced out over the sky-line of Jump City. A tear trailed down her cheek and a soft sigh escaped her lips. She still carried him with her.

[Batman]

Sometimes Dick Grayson wondered how the hell he managed to jump back and forth between jurisdictions. While as Robin he’d thrown most of his time into maintaining the Titans, his time as Nightwing became more and more evenly distributed between the Titans, Bludhaven, Gotham, and eventually the Outsiders. As Batman, though, Dick was starting to wear thin. He slept little due to going from Gotham to the Watchtower and then back to Gotham but only unless he didn’t need to help a friend in their own city. It was goddamn exhausting at times. Today, however, he found his way to Jump City for the sake of nostalgia. Taking the Batmobile with the simple note of “Call in Case of Emergency,” he flew through the air like a hot knife through butter. Cliché? Yes. Accurate? Absolutely. After parking in one of the old spots he’d used when he made his runs before, he set out into the city to see a city’s crime rate that wasn’t wrapped around his destruction, psychopaths, or both.

Bruce has it covered, anyway, he thought to himself bitterly.

He pushed that hurt from his mind as he caught sight of a robbery escape approaching his direction. He used the paracape to glide through the city with determination on his features. He was disappointed, however, as the car struck a post; fixing itself before he could swoop in. He hadn’t seen the familiar bolts strike the car’s tires from behind. Damn it, he thought to himself in disappointment as he kept on his way; still not seeing his old flame. His effortless sashay through the air was cut short by the coming patter of rain that started to weigh down on his paracape. Stubbornly, he tried to stay airborn.

It was a futile attempt as Dick found himself falling to the ground. Thinking quickly, Dick tucked his form until the last moment. He grasped onto the rung of a street lamp and pulled himself up into a crouch. His lips bent into a frown before he noticed something out of his peripherals. Kory… he thought to himself; not necessarily planning on the melancholy to hit.

He loved her once.

She was beginning to wonder why she even returned to Jump City. Originally she wanted to come and check in with the Titans, but had been side tracked by that criminal. Now she had this unwanted feeling of in her mind and heart. As the rain poured and pitter pattered onto the the surface, her orange skin glistened from the moisture upon it, her flowing strands of auburn were now drenched and draping over her shoulders and back. Eyes of solid green flickered open as her ears picked up the movements near by and immediately her line of sight turned towards the new presence. It was as if life had fun playing it's games and tugging at her heart strings because now he was there. Although she had to wonder why he was...shouldn't he be in Gotham cleaning up the street of it's criminals and psychos? With Bruce having returned, who really knew what was on Dick Grayson's agenda. She knew for a fact that he hadn't expected to see her. Did he even want to see her?

Part of her wanted to fly over and embrace him...but those times were over and he was no longer hers to be with. That fact alone made her want to fly away and avoid having to deal with him or any of those bitter sweet feelings that stirred whenever he came up in her mind. The alien princess returned to her feet and stood on the rooftop as the rain continued to wash over her figure, her expression remained a gloomy one.

"Hello Dick." she spoke aloud and to initiate a conversation, even if it were only to be a brief one.
