Central Park on a bright sunny day. Normally it would be the scene of picnics, people playing games, squirrels chasing each other....druggies and hobos in the darker corners, crazy homeless people wandering around....and it still was, but today it was also something else. Today it was the location for the rally kicking off Norman Osborn's election campaign.
The man himself stood off to a distance, watching as the last touches were made to the decorations on the podium. It was still a bit early, but even now people were gathering, more to see what was going on than anything else. He'd had posters put up all over the city though, and expected a good crowd today. Norman was putting in plenty of his own money for this election, but he had sent out solicitations all over the country as well, and so far the response was favorable. The only thing missing right now was.....
...his guards. Norman had asked some of his Dark Avengers to come stand guard duty, due to the death threats he was starting to receive already. The fact that there were so many of them so soon was to him just another indication of his success. Daken in particular was supposed to be here by now, as Norman had wanted to have a little talk with him before the rally, but so far he was a no show. Norman looked around, wondering where the young man could be. If he didn't show up for this there would be hell to pay.

The brightness of the sun was enough to cause Benjamin to squint in annoyance. But he was ordered to go and guard Norman as he spoke to the community today. He was asked to be one as well as a few other Dark Avengers. At the time, He was in normal civilian clothing. Usual jeans, black shirt with a long leather coat over his shoulders. Arrows fashioned on his back and the long purple shaded bow hooked to his back. He was ready for just about anything. Hopefully today would go pretty well. He didn't care if others saw the weapons and whatnot, mostly he figured it looked pretty cool.
After all, he was pretty cool.
Making his way around the area, his eyes watched the normal looking people, hanging in the sunshine and having a gay old time. Tilting his head to have his eyes peer over the top of his sunglasses, he gave his eyes a quick roll and looked back to the target he was meant to protect.
Norman was near by. Finally. It was kinda hard to miss that guy. Moving towards him with a steadfast speed, his made it to his side and smirked slightly. "Sorry about being late and all... Had a rough time sleeping last night." He confessed and crossed his arms, looking to Norman. "Things lookin' good around here..." Benjamin informed as he eyed the place. "You're already drawing a crowd."

The sound of the engine would announce the god of war's presence in central park. Ares had made sure that when it was built that the bike had an engine that could be heard above that of a monster truck and a body that could support his massive frame. The black chopper would roar up into the make shift parking lot that was being used for the construction crew and nobody, not a damn soul would speak anything about it.
The thing was, Ares wasn't wearing his uniform, but the people that worked for Norman could pick him out in a heartbeat. The massive chopper's engine would die down and Ares would step off. Dressed in a pair of black cargo pants, combat boots, a Saxon "Wheels of Steel" tee-shirt, a black leather vest with spikes on it, leather biker gloves and a pair of black aviator shades, Ares looked like well.. a biker.
He'd go to make his way across the lawn the way a big man does, with an air of dominance about him. He didn't carry a weapon, but then anyone who knew just who he was would tell you that he didn't need it. The powerful looking man would make his way across the grounds and towards his "employer", Norman Osborn. He wouldn't say anything to Norman, however Bullseye would get a glare that might make concrete crumble if aimed properly.
The fact of the matter was that Ares was anything but late. When the tardiness of his comrades in arms had become apparent to the personnel on hand, Ares had been informed that his presence was required. He hadn't been meant to be here today, rather the olympian had been meaning to gather information on just how well his son had been preforming under the watchful eye of Nick Fury, something Norman had no idea about. But then it had always been a habit of Osborn and his underlings not to do anything to make Ares rethink his association with the group, so he was rarely followed. That and Norman trusted Ares' word and had never been given a reason to doubt what he says.

Of course Daken wouldn't have been early to the start of the campaign trail. Norman was growing more power hungry and it was a sad sight to see. Really? Must he prove himself to be a bigger ass than he already has done by having two teams and the H.A.M.M.E.R faction. A lot of the heroes never trusted the new Avenger team he had pulled together.
There is a good reason as it mainly consisted of bad guys. Stretching his arms above his head, he gave a bored yawn. Daken was late and he knew it. Oddly enough he didn't get multiple texts or calls from Norman himself on where the hell he's at. 'Thank God I don't have to wear the uniform,' he thought to himself.
Casual comfort clothes were the best way to blend in and not really act fully like a body guard. His blue eyes scanned the ever growing crowd as he stepped into the park and into the area the speech is going to be held at. Nothing out of the ordinary, yet. Unless you want to count a God dressed as a mean hardass biker.
Or how Lester has his Robin Hood bow and quiver on his back....
“I really thought we were going for casual here,” he said with a pout. Wearing nothing but the best khakis and sky blue shirt with running shoes. “Now I feel left out of the costume party with Lester playing a dark version of Robin Hood – or is it William Tell? – and Ares pulling off the biker look.”

Norman looked over as Bullseye approached. He'd told his team to dress casual as he wanted them to blend in and keep an eye out on things, and the whole modern-day Robin hood look that Bullseye was sporting just didn't quite fit the description. Who on earth carried a bow and arrows these days? He was surprised that no policeman had tried to stop him yet; bows did qualify as weapons and security was an issue these days. Bullseye was deadly with that bow though, and would be good protection against any potential assassins.
"I don't want to know what you were doing last night." Norman said a little scornfully. "Just so long as you're alert enough to keep an eye on things." He looked around the crowd again at the man's next comment.
"Yes, I think it will be a successful event." he said, sounding pleased.
In the distance he could see Ares approach through the crowd. No matter what the god wore, he would always stand out. Ares didn't even have to carry a weapon, he was intimidating enough of a figure that only the very brave, very determined or very stupid would try to go up against him. Norman wasn't about to try to go against the god for being late; his presence was sufficient.
And that just left Daken. Norman should have expected that the young man would be late; frankly it wouldn't surprise him if he didn't show up at all. He didn't trust Daken as far as he could throw him, but he was good in a fight and impersonated Wolverine too well to get rid of. Eventually Daken appeared though, and Norman frowned at him.
"I suppose I should be thankful you even came." he said disapprovingly. "And you don't need to dress up, you play the part of the punk naturally."
