It was eerily quiet in the Quinjet aside from the constant noise of the motor and the occasional clicks of equipment being checked. The flight to Europe was a long and restless one filled with angst and rising tides of hope that one of their own was alive and unharmed. Well, it was for the one known as Captain America. James Barnes knew of the pain of losing one of your fellow soldiers, and vowed he would not allow anyone else to experience the levels of grief and sorrow he went through when the Invaders were split apart. Though he would never ever consider the Avengers to be anything like the family he had with the Invaders; they were still his allies and his friends, and as much as he copped abuse from a lot of them, he'd like to have them around.
Luke and Polygraph were alright, he had no real problem or issue with the two of them. Him and Luke though had a sort of minor struggle going however. Barnes knew that wearing Steve's mantle would not get him friends, but he had steadily earned the respect of many of the superhero community. With Luke, he knew it wasn't all flowers and fairies. The guy was close to Steve, and obviously didn't like the idea of someone wearing his colours. Then there was Bobbi, god, the past week with her was interesting. Their confrontation in the meeting room that ascended to a fight then quickly descended to a awkward deep conversation. Now, they were stuck on a mission together, without them having resolved their previous issue. Bucky didn't like having these issues, but he couldn't do anything about it when the other patron ticked his nerves like frozen cold spikes.
So here sat James Barnes. Occasionally twirling his 5.7 Pistol around as his eyes glanced from side to side of the jet. He wanted to break the silence, but really, he felt like he had nothing to say. There's nothing to say, Buck. Just go in there, grab Sue and ensure that the two ladies don't kill you, or your friends, whilst you do it. No different to battling the Nazi Soldiers back in WWII. With a sigh, he continued twirling his pistol, and counted down the remaining time to when they were going to land. Tracking the trails of Ivy's pollens were a little harder than expected, but surprisingly enough, they would lead the Avengers straight to the location of Sue. Barnes didn't like it, however. It almost felt like the one named Ivy was leaving the trail on purpose; when they spent so much effort to find a secluded island...
Edit: Added details on how they were tracking Ivy and Blackfire.

The silence inside the Quinjet was nothing new. No one ever had anything to talk about. It was usually left up to Luke to come up with a conversation starter or Logan wherever the hell that guy was off at. He stretched his arms a bit and popped his neck. The Quinjet was one of the fastest crafts around, but the trip was still taking forever. Luke looked over to Barnes, that wannabe Captain America. He appreciated the kid for the things that he did for the family, but just didn't like the guy on a more personal level. Maybe if his ass stopped wearing that damn costume he'd get a little more respect from the powerhouse. Well at least it wasn't some chump wearing Cap's mantle.
Luke had already been devising plans and scenarios for when they touched down on the island. The simplest and probably the easiest approach was to kick down the door and rush in guns ablazing. That was Luke's usual style especially when he was out doing his own thing. But he had a team to lead which meant lives to secure. That macho heads on approach could possibly get on the ladies injured or worse. Na, not the most effective way to enter a hostile situation without any real details. All Luke gathered from his own reconnaissance was that this Ivy chick apparently could control plants and the chick Blackfire was some sort of alien broad with fire bolts or something.
Easy enough to take them out on their own, but Luke was betting that they had some reinforcements lined up waiting to be knocked down. That thought made him chuckle a little to himself. Engaging the autopilot, he unharnessed himself and spun around in the chair to face his team. A five man squad with only two real heavy hitters... well two if Johnny could keep his act together and not fool around. If it weren't for Sue being his sister he wouldn't even be on this mission. ”Yo listen up. More than likely these broads are gonna have a lil something waiting for us when we get there. So this is how it's gonna go down. Me and Pipe are gonna hit em up from the front while Bobbi and Johnny take the back approach. We provide the necessary distraction while Barnes slips in to locate Sue.”
A simple and easy plan that could work if everyone did their jobs. ”Any objections?” Luke looked over his squad to make sure it was all clear with them. Shit it had better be.

Just a simple rescue mission. Technically that's all this should be. Which means, Bobbi's probably gotten some funny looks when she all but armed herself to the teeth. If there is one thing that Mockingbird has learned throughout her life is, there is no such thing as a simple mission. The easiest ones always turn out to be the worst. Add to the fact that they really had no effing clue what they were getting into? No way in hell was Bobbi going in without some weapons. Yes she was damn good and extremely dangerous at close quarters combat, but she wanted to make sure she could even the odds if it were needed.
The blond rolled her neck and looked around, she knew everyone well but maybe Johnny. She didn't know him that well. Not that it mattered, all that mattered right now was the mission. It was moments like these that gave her the clarity she craved so bad. This is what she was here for, if she could she'd probably go on missions twenty-four seven. Her gaze traveled to Piper and she gave the woman a nod. Now there was someone she got along well with. Then her gaze fell on Barnes and she looked away, she wasn't going to think about him right now. It would help if she understood what she thought about him, but that was for later.
Finally, her head turned toward Luke when he started to speak. Worked for her, as long as she was given something to do. Bobbi turned and looked at Johnny. "How you holdin' up?" She knew the only reason he was here was because they were rescuing his sister. She didn't know a whole, whole lot about him, but she knew he loved his sister and that was all that mattered. She just hoped that he didn't let that get in the way of getting the job done. Her gaze fell on Luke again. "I'm good if your good." Now, if only they'd hurry up and get there.

If Bobbi got strange looks by arming herself to the teeth, then Piper had gotten those strange looks as well. It must be a SHIELD thing, she assumed. Never think that something would be easy or something along those lines. And those words of advice had saved her ass more times then she cared to count.
She sat in a seat near one of the windows, tapping her fingers on the armrest impatiently. She was never really one to be very patient- especially in cases like this, when she knew that something big was about to happen. And big, in this case, was a vast understatement.
She nodded once to Bobbi- they got along well, and Piper was glad to have a friend. They were, as of right now, at least, the only females in the Avengers, after all. She turned to look at Luke as he started to speak. So, she would be paired with him and they were going to storm the front? She knew there was a reason that she had armed herself so heavily. She just wasn’t expecting it to be proven that quickly.
”I understand.” she said with a nod, then absently rubbed her arm, checking one of the knives she had hidden in her sleeve.

The silence was really nerve grating. Especially when it came to one Johnny Storm, more known as being the superhero, The Human Torch. He could have flown faster than this hunk of scrap metal the Avengers traveled around in. He wore the Fantastic Four suit that symbolized what team he was apart of.
With his legs spread out in front of him and his head resting on his propped up knuckles, he began to drum his free fingers on the arm of the chair he was buckled into. “Can't this thing go any faster? It seems like an old lady can pass us up flying a normal airplane,” he said with a heavy sigh of boredom.
Long trips boredom him to death. This one made him more impatient since this is a rescue mission to save his sister! But at least the Fantasticar seemed to move faster than the Quinjet. It had been really tough back at the Baxter building with the others trying to figure out who or where Susan had gone. As smart as Reed was he still was unable to do what the Avengers did.
Johnny jumped on board to help rescue his sister while Reed and Ben had stayed home with his niece and nephew. Who knows what Valeria would attempt to try if she wasn't being watched with her intelligence rivaling Reed's own.
After Luke spoke up, the Human Torch just blinked at him. “Really? Is that the best you got for a plan, Luke?” He started laughing at it. He knew as much as they did on the women who kidnapped the Invisible Woman. Although it sounded like the most stupidest plan to him.
“And why does Captain Wannabe get to go in? Sue's my sister! I should be the one going in and the rest of you do your thing,” he proclaimed, narrowing his eyes at Luke.

(Just so everyone is aware, I was told to skip Ivy, Blackfire and Susan so we can have the rescue team land on the island, thus giving the respective players more to work with.)
Barnes' eyes drifted over to Luke as he began to lay out the plan, before they moved back to the window; occasionally moving to the pistol he was twirling around on his fingers. With a smirk, he was amused at how plain and simple his plan was. Then again, the guy was pretty much a bulldozer. At least he was intelligent enough to make Barnes the one to do the infiltration, what with his immense experience and skill in that field. Yet, the kid named Johnny seemed to be against the idea. Captain Wannabe? How original. "The kid can come with me." It was that simple. Barnes thought about making a reference to his former experience fighting alongside the original Human Torch back in the 40's; but then again, the guys didn't need a history lesson. "It'd be best if a friendly face came to the rescue. My only question is, do we have any idea what we are going up against? Plant lady and psychotic alien woman are pretty vague descriptions..."
At that moment, the auto-pilot in the cockpit let out a signal that it was preparing to land. "I guess we're about to find out." He remarked as the plane was preapring itself for it's landing. Barnes finished twirling his 5.7 pistol, before bringing it around and checking it's functions. He cocked it and checked the slide, making sure no jamming would occur. The fun was going to begin soon.

~I swear to God if this lil prick don't shut his fucking mouth, I will kick him in the throat and crush his lil windpipe~ were the thoughts of Luke. I mean seriously, what the hell was up with all the bitching? It seemed to be highly unnecessary. Then again this was Johnny Storm we're talking about. A spoil little rich kid that gets mad when things don't go his way. And his “jokes” were some of the worse Luke had ever heard before. Even Spider-Man's jokes occasionally got a chuckle out the big guy, but this kid? Hell nal.
Luke had to take a few moments to slow his breathing and calm the hell down before a fist ended up going through the kid's dome. He thought that narrow eye shit was gonna make Luke change his mind or scare him or some shit like that, the boy really didn't know a damn about the guy. ”Man stop all that bitchin like some lil baby. I'm sending in Bucky cause the dude has the infiltration skills that're needed for a mission like this. Ain't no way in Hell am I sending in some hot tempered child to fuck things up. You don't like the way I run shit then you can take ya ass on back home.”
As the jet was coming to a landing, Luke unstrapped himself from the seat and stood up turning to look at Barnes first then the others. ”With names like Blackfire and Poison Ivy, a man can only guess. The latter probably has something to with poisons and toxins so don't get to close to that chick. Best guess on the first one is fire or some shit. But we'll find out soon enough. Mount up Avengers... and company.” Luke cracked his knuckles before opening the hatch to exit the Quinjet.

The blond looked at Johnny and shook her head. Then her blue gaze fell on Luke and she wondered if she was gonna have to stun gun his ass. Technically, the plan made sense since Barnes was the best at infiltration. She understood Johnny's want to be a part of the rescue but he'd just be putting, his and his sister's life in danger. Her eyes traveled to Piper and she was glad to see that she wasn't the only dressed to kill. Blue eyes rolled and then she crossed her eyes as she looked at Piper. Only two girls, three men, at least she was wearing her bitch boots. It was the only way in hell she was going to be able to wade through the testosterone on the Quinjet.
As the jet landed she looked between the three men. "So, are we going to continue this pissing contest, or are we going to save Sue?" Her head tilted when Luke gave his opinion on the two women and she shrugged. She'd put a DNR in her file so if anything happened to her, they better not revive her ass. Though knowing Luke it probably got lost. "So, essentially... Me and Pip are the only ones that have to worry too much. Good to know." She looked over at Piper. "So, do we hide behind the big boys or give have them sell tickets and try to get these bitches into a mud puddle to make the trip extra special for them?" One blue eye winked and she stuck out her tongue. Oddly enough, she was feeling pretty good right now, she was in her element.

Piper literally facepalmed as Johnny protested Luke's plan. She could understand where he was coming from, though- she knew that, had it been her sister, she would want to be the one to rescue her. But Barnes was best at these types of covert operations- he's been doing it for God knows how long, and he was also trained by the best. In this case, that would probably be best- especially considering this Poison Ivy chick was almost guaranteed to be weak against fire. Johnny would be needed to fight her, most likely.
She unbuckled her seat belt as the jet landed, standing up and stretching for a moment before grabbing her gun. A quick, but unnecessary, check verified that it was in its usual excellent condition, and she slung it over her shoulder.
Piper shook her head slightly as Bobbi said something about them and worrying. It was the truth- they were the two on this mission that needed to worry the most about getting hurt. Neither of them had offensive powers- Hell, Bobbi didn't even have any powers to begin with.
"Oh, I don't know, Bobbi. We did come all the way out here, we might as well give them a treat before we knock them on their asses." she responded with a smirk, before making her way over next to Luke. It was time to let all hell break loose.

This was complete bullshit! Johnny had loved the idea that Bucky came up with but hated that Luke had to be Mr. Bigshot around here. At least with the Fantastic Four it was more equal effort on coming up with a plan; albeit most of it was from Reed, after all. He had been about to launch a nice hot fireball at the Avenger's leader until the jet was about to land.
“Finally!” he said as he unbuckled the seat belt and stood up, stretching out. “But your plan still sucks, Luke. As far as the alien chick goes – just picture her stronger than both our women combined. Usually how those things work our, right?”
Gee, this was going to be as much fun as watching paint dry. Maybe he should just act like he was going to listen and find a different way in to join Barnes? That sounded pretty good to the Human Torch. The waiting to see how bad they have hurt his sister was enough to break orders. He really did not want to hear anything from anyone else if they kept him from seeing his sister after rescuing her.
“Now let's go save Sue,” he stated as he headed towards the opened hatch. Flames engulfing him as he took a step on the solid ground. Not in the mood to say his catchphrase as it was time to get busy.

(Sort of continuing this on from the end of the Home Base thread.)
Ivy was feeling relaxed; there was no other word to describe it. The previous night spent with her dear captive had released a lot of built up frustrations she had. As careless as she seemed, Ivy did have her issues and many of them had to do with the fact that the one man she believed to not be a scum was gone. Who? The Batman of course. None of these other heroes were worth her time, but she was pleasantly surprised with Susan. She could feel the woman's own stress and anger at her own life. Susan had confessed her troubles and woes to Ivy during their sexual encounter, to which Ivy rather sinisterly took advantage of; making her forget about her less than perfect husband and about the responsibilities of being a mother to her children. As admirable as the woman tried to be, Ivy ensured that she would forget her woes and lose herself in a paradise of pleasure.
Oddly enough, Ivy almost did it in sympathy of Sue.
This was neither the time to talk of that; as there was something else occuring. The plants of the island had contacted Pamela and informed her of the arrival of a jet holding heroes. Obviously they were here to rescue Susan. "Thank you for the warning, darlings." With a smirk, Ivy made her way towards the bathroom, passing a number of servants and slaves along the way. Entering the place, gaining the attention of the servants. She obviously was some kind of royalty, from a planet far from here. "Dear, we have some uninvited visitors." The question was, how did they find Ivy and Blackfire?
Edit: Got Blackfire's room wrong.

Komand'r ducked under the water and came back up just as Ivy walked in she didn’t say anything at first “What type of visitors?” she asked wanting to know who the hell could find them here. She frowned as she stood up in the water not at all caring that Ivy saw her naked she wasn’t shy about showing her body off. In fact no Tamaranean had an issue with showing their bodies off. Stepping up onto the floor one of her slaves handed her a towel “Prepare my armor.” she ordered as she began drying off. She wasn’t going to be caught wet and naked by whoever the hell decided to come to her island uninvited
As she dried off her general walked in “Prepare the troops I want the Tamaraneans warriors to be the first thing they meet and have the others on stand by.” she told him before walking out of the room and heading to her bedroom to get dressed. Not many people on this mud ball of a planet knew Tamaraneans were a warrior race and more then well trained she saw to it herself once she took control of her home world to make sure no one else would be able to attack them.

Of all the months of the past year, there had been no slumber truly as peaceful as the one Susan was currently lost in. There was no anxiety about her family, there was no hovering stress from a argument with Reed; it was her and her own paradise. She had been manipulated into a false sense of affection and longing for another woman, and that very woman had seemingly returned the feelings Sue had been manipulated to having. To her, there was no pheromones, no effects; simply a intimate encounter. Sadly enough, despite this seemingly perfect bliss, there was that fact that Ivy merely pulled the strings of the woman. She had abused and taken advantage of the fact that, as strong-willed as Sue was, recently she had become more prone to emotional sadness and weakness. The lingering question was simple.
Why had Ivy made such a effort to give Susan peace?
The sounds of large footsteps awoke the sleeping Fantastic Four member. She was naked, sprawled out on the leafbed formed by Ivy's plants. Her eyes slowly opened and scanned the area and for a few moments, she had completely forgotten where she was, how she had got here and what had happened.
The realisation then hit her.
"...Oh God." She looked down at her body, obviously noting the fact that she was naked. Brushing the ruffled blonde hair out of her face, she scanned the area once more; trying to recollect her thoughts. She remembered everything. She remembered trying to stop Blackfire and Ivy, before being captured. She remembered, and still felt, that attraction for Ivy and how she seemingly became a subordinate to said feelings. Bringing her hands over her mouth, her eyes widened as she could feel he tears build up. A overwhelming force of shame swept over her as the realisation that not only had she cheated on her husband; but it was with another woman. "No...No. I-...Oh God no..." A tear dropped over her cheek as she prepared to weep. The weight of the shame she was currently enduring was beyond overwhelming.
Her emotional suffering was broken for a few moments as more and more commotion occured outside. Obviously, the island was under some form of invasion. They're here for you. Pull yourself together and get out there. She commanded herself as she reached for her Fantastic Four unifom. Standing up, she slipped the costume on. She felt unclean inside wearing the uniform, as if she didn't deserve to wear it. With a heavy sigh, she made herself invisible and stepped outside the garden area where she had slept with Ivy.
She had to get out of here. For her own sanity.

(As far as my building descriptions go, I'll be as vague as I can as we don't really have a actual building description. Though in the end, most of that authority goes to Blackfire's player. She probably has the best idea of the layout.)
Barnes' first action was to give Johhny Storm a message through his eyes. Staring at the now-flamed Fantastic Four member, he sort of nodded as if he knew the kid was thinking of finding his own way in and meeting up with Barnes. Buck was not going to audibly admit it, but he wanted the kid to come with him. Cage and the others didn't need him, they could work perfectly well as a team. Buck was intent on making sure the guy was the first person Sue saw. It came from his own experience in being held captive; and with her being a mother, she was probably alot less apathetic to her own life than he was when he was captured. Turning to his fellow Avengers, he spoke with a calm face. "I'm going silent. Don't contact me unless it's absolutely necessary." Cracking his neck to the side, he kept his shield strapped to his back, and holstered his 5.7 pistol, before heading off towards the main portion of the building.
Scanning the building, he managed to make out multiple skylights throughout hallways. The place let in a lot of sunlight, making it almost uneccesary to have artificial lighting. Barnes noted this as he made his decison to climb the building and enter a skylight in a hallway. Scaling the walls like a spider, he lept from window to ledge, using his defined muscles and athletic ability. What annoyed him was the fact that it was broad daylight and he had no blanket of night to cover him. All of his infiltration ops as the Winter Soldier occured during the night, with the darkness to hide his figure. He had to suck it up, however.
Reaching his preferred skylight, he carefully peered through the light. Soldiers were moving along the hallways, soldiers that looked like they were born for war. He contemplated warning his allies, but declined, knowing he needed to focus on his own mission and not worry about them. They could handle themselves. Pulling his knife from hs belt, he began to unscrew the panels of the skylight. Pushing the glass face out of the way, he slowly pushed his leg through, before grabbing onto the ledge with his hands. Hanging from the roof, he released his grip and fell to the floor below. It wasn't a very high drop, but it still made a slight noise when he impacted. Cursing himself for making the noise, he drew his handgun with his right hand, and kept his knife at the ready with his left.
If there were any form of electrical security systems, they wouldn't be working. Barnes' prosthetic arm emits signal interruptions to almost any electrical device; making him a effective infiltration artist. Who built this place? Never seen schematcs like it. He commented to himself as he slowly but surely made his way down the hallway. He was using a pollen tracker, and figured that wherever Ivy is, that's where Sue would be. He just hoped that this didn't turn out any worse than it already was.
