To those who don't exactly fit in, the world is a cruel place.
Forced to live in the shadows, those born with abnormal
powers or physical characteristics are rejected as inhuman,
as freaks, as abominations to the human race. They are not
given the support to learn to use their amazing powers.
They are condemned, even if their birth was not their fault.
They feel as though there is nowhere they can go. No one
they can turn to.
But there is somewhere they can turn to. Simply called The
Academy, it is a school based in northern Hollywood, it's
true intent covered by the glitz and glam of the starlets trying
to make their way. The school advertises itself as an exclusive
prep and boarding school, only the elite are allowed in. Many
families attempt to apply, but are turned away unless their
child shows that he or she is one of the Unknown.
Behind the walls of The Academy, werewolves exist. So do
alchemists, demons, angels, fairies, and otherworldly creatures.
Here they are trained to cover their identities amongst the
humans and how to use their powers for the better good. They
learn control and have all the support they need to get through
these difficult years of their young lives.
